Review Methodology

Last updated June 2026

This page explains how Still Haven reviews products so you know exactly what our assessments are, and what they are not.

Research, not laboratory testing

We are a small editorial team, not a testing lab. Our reviews are based on published research, manufacturer information, third-party lab documentation (Certificates of Analysis, or COAs), ingredient transparency, and hands-on familiarity with how a product is used. We do not run our own laboratory tests, and we never claim to.

What we look at

  • Transparency: Does the brand publish a current COA from an independent lab?
  • Formulation: Is it THC-free or broad-spectrum, and is the labeling clear?
  • Evidence: What does reputable research actually say about the ingredients?
  • Value and clarity: Is pricing, dosing, and sourcing easy to understand?

Why we do not use scores

A single number hides more than it reveals and invites false precision. Instead, we explain a product in plain language and describe who it may or may not suit.
